About Our Clinic
Are your doctors MOH-licensed? +
Yes. All our Ayurveda and Unani practitioners hold valid UAE Ministry of Health (MOH) licenses.
What is the difference between Ayurveda and Unani medicine? +
Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old Indian healing system that balances the body through three bio-energies (Vata, Pittha, Kapha) using herbal therapies, oil treatments, and detox procedures. Unani is a classical Greco-Arabic system focusing on four humors and individual temperament (Mizaj), using herbal medicine, dietary regimens, and physical therapies like Hijama. At Marma Wellness, both traditions are practiced under one roof by separate licensed specialists.
Do I need a referral or doctor's letter to book? +
No referral is required. You can book directly by calling us, sending a WhatsApp message, or using our online booking form. Walk-ins are also welcome, subject to availability.
Are female doctors and female-only treatment rooms available? +
Yes. We have both male and female practitioners available. Dedicated female-only treatment rooms are available. Please request a female doctor when making your booking and we will ensure this is arranged for you.
What languages do your doctors speak? +
Our team speaks English, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, and Malayalam. Please mention your preferred language when booking and we will match you with the appropriate practitioner.
Treatments & Safety
Is Hijama (wet cupping) safe? What are the hygiene protocols? +
Hijama is safe when performed by a trained, MOH-licensed practitioner following proper protocols. At Marma Wellness: we use single-use, sterile disposable blades and cups (never reused); the skin is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before and after; all medical waste is disposed of following UAE Ministry of Health regulations; a full health screening is conducted before every session. Not suitable for those with bleeding disorders, severe anemia, or during pregnancy.
Is Ayurveda / Unani medicine safe to combine with conventional medications? +
Always inform your Ayurveda or Unani doctor of all conventional medications, supplements, and health conditions before any treatment. Our practitioners are trained to screen for interactions and will advise you accordingly. We prioritize your safety above all else and will never prescribe anything that conflicts with your existing treatments.
How many sessions will I need? +
This depends on your specific condition, severity, duration, and constitution. Acute conditions may show significant improvement in 3โ5 sessions. Chronic long-standing conditions typically benefit from a structured programme over several weeks or months. Your doctor will give you a realistic estimate and treatment plan after your first consultation.
Can children and elderly patients receive treatment? +
Many Ayurveda and Unani therapies are suitable and beneficial for all age groups. Our doctors will assess suitability during consultation and adapt techniques, pressure, and medicine dosages as appropriate for younger and elderly patients. Certain procedures such as Hijama have specific age and health guidelines. Always consult our doctor first.

What should I wear and bring to my first appointment? +
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that is easy to remove and replace. Bring any recent medical reports, lab results, imaging, or prescriptions relevant to your condition. For oil-based treatments, avoid heavy meals at least 2 hours before the session. Arrive 10 minutes early for your first visit to complete a brief intake form.
Do you accept insurance? +
